It didn’t rain, so 盟 was allowed to live.
Instead, they came together and killed their parents.
The letter is technically for 盟, but he had no interest in going to some memorial for Ooe Ann, so told 冥 to take his place (since he cared about her)
盟 was pretty well known for having a fight with Ooe Ann.
- He thought she was dating 冥 and he acted very normal about it.
盟 and 清 on Hachijoujima, both freaking out

冥 Escapes

盟 meeting him at the pier and hugging him so tight.
冥 isn’t sure if this is better than putting up with 大有.
盟 is fucking livid that 冥 let another guy tie him up and drag him around.
- AND SAW HIM WITHOUT HIS EYEPATCH.
大 is his enemy for life.
有 is his new best friend because he’s keeping 大 off his Mei-chan.
- He is pissed about him stealing 冥’s eyepatch, but there’s a greater enemy to face.
  - Once he’s dealt with 大 he can turn on this bitch for making fun of 冥.
盟 and 有 fake laughing while they’re internally calling the other a bitch.

盟 Comes to Rescue Him

清 trying to set out on a boat, but 盟 is trying to push him out the way to get on board.

清: It’s a two-man boat. We can’t get them back if we’re both on it.

盟: Fine! I’ll stay with Mei-chan!

清:

清: No, I’ll stay with Oosaki-kun.

They get to the island and are still fighting over who’s staying.
- They’ve spent the entire trip talking about 冥 and 大.
  - 清 is somewhat describing 静 because he doesn’t actually know 大 that well and was starting to lose the brocon off.
盟: Mei-chan is probably so lonely and sad without me there. He used to cry in his sleep (because of 盟 bullying him).
竹 steals the boat while they’re distracted.
盟 hugging 冥 as soon as he sees him.

有: Is he your boyfriend, Shinbashi-san?

盟: No, I’m his brother, but we get that all the time.
- 有 desperate to confirm 冥 is taken.
- 冥 is disgusted.
- They do not get that all the time. 盟 is, in fact, delighted 有 would think they are.

Every time 冥 ran away when they were kids, 盟 would go looking for him and he’d always find him and be like “I thought I’d lost you” and kiss him full on the mouth.

冥 fully expecting 盟 to kiss him when he got off the boat and feeling a weird jolt when it’s just a hug.
- Not that he wanted the kiss but he already had his hand up to block it.
- Clearly it’s relief that 冥 didn’t embarrass him.
  - Actually this is still embarrassing.

冥 and 大: Are you stupid?

盟: You could try saying thank you.

冥: Fall off the pier and die.

What would he even thank him for! 盟 is the last person he wants to see!
- Now you’re both trapped here as well! Good job!
冥 and 大 are giving them both the cold shoulder and chainsmoking to put up with them.

冥: If we kill them, no one has to ever know they were here.

大 looking at them both as they have the same pissed off pout.
盟 noting 大 seems nothing like how 清 described.
盟 becomes just as foul-mouthed as 冥 when he thinks 大 is a threat.
- Somehow, 冥 is somehow still getting the worst of it.
盟: Isn’t tantei-sama really into that little twink of his? Aren’t you just a substitute? Mei-chan, I just don’t want to see your heart broken like this. Nii-san is just looking out for you. I mean, what could he see in you when he has someone like that?
They have two more damn mouths to feed!
盟 proudly offering 冥 a (one, singular) tin of mackerel.
- He knew 冥 would be hungry so he thought ahead.

冥: DID YOU ASK OOSAKI-SAN’S PERMISSION TO TAKE THAT?!

And if 盟 is here, who’s looking after Oosaki-san and Takanawa-san?!
He never should have trusted 盟 with them! They’re probably dead because of him!
- They’re fine, if overfed.
  - He just opened all of it and dumped it in their bowls before leaving.
- He didn’t trust 盟 with them to begin with but there was literally no one else to ask.
冥 who has barely been hanging on by believing at least his roommates are okay and here’s 盟 to fuck that up.
盟 trying to persuade him that they’re fine but how can he trust someone who would steal their food!
- 盟 bought the mackerel in Hachijoujima.
清 brought a (gluten-free) sandwich.
- 有 pissed seeing this guy not only getting handsy with 大 but he didn’t even bring proper bread.
  - 大 panicking when 有 gives him the rest of his piece after one bite.
    - He’ll eat it if 大 chews it for him.
      - 清 is having to watch this.
      - He asks 大 to do the same for him but the look he gets makes him value his life for a second.
盟 wants 冥 to let him feed him like that too.
- He’s not fucking doing that.
- He is not going to eat food that was STOLEN from his roommates.
- 冥 might go get the cyanide.
日 isn’t sure which Shinbashi they have to kill anymore.
He’s still scared for 船 dying.
He’s pretty sure they have to kill 盟 though.
- Apparently he killed 冥’s roommate so whatever that counts.
He’s REALLY sure they have to kill 清 (and that’s before he finds out who he is)
盟 calls 清大’s brother and 大 immediately corrects him that they’re not related.
- 盟 confused but follows 有’s example.
盟: Boyfriend?
- 有 might kill this entire island depending on 大’s answer.
  - 大 REALLY wants to say he’s never met 清 but he doesn’t want to confuse 有.
  - 大 thinks 有’s wide-eyed stare and heavy breathing is because he’s unwell, not realising he’s an active threat to everyone here.

大: He’s my employer, Daiba Shizuma.

日 tossing his crutch to lunge for him.
有 holding 大 back to let 日 do what he wants.
青 has had a better time at work than dealing with this.
市場前 is trying to talk to 清 but 清 is ignoring him.
汐 is getting out of any charges because honestly there’s too much else to worry about.
- He’s turning up on 竹’s doorstep to bite him for leaving him behind and fill him in on what he gathered of what 竹 missed.
They get home and 盟 like see your roommates are FINE.
Oosaki-san and Takanawa-san meowing pathetically like they’ve never been fed in their lives.
Clearly they’ve been neglected and it’s all 盟’s fault!
The empty tins aren’t evidence 盟 could have ate those!

盟 Goes Instead

盟 made 冥 come with him to the harbour but 冥 only went to make 100% sure he’d be free of 盟 for a few days.
盟 is hogging the phone the whole time because 冥 is never answering.
- 冥 has taken his phone off the hook so he can get some damn sleep.
- His roommates are pissed.
He absolutely loses it when the phone gets destroyed in the short window where he wasn’t using it to harass 冥.
冥 finally putting the phone back after making a work call and gets weirded out when it proceeds to not ring.
- Sits by the phone for a bit before realising what he’s doing and getting pissed at himself for caring.
- But it was weird that they invited a guy who famously didn’t get along with Ooe Ann, right?
  - Not that he cares.
  - Why did he go when he hated her ass?
  - He cares because it would make a could plot. He’s been feeling a genre change! There’s a lot of romance in detective stories too.
    - The romance part is for the stories only, of course.
大 trying to ask 盟 anything about the case, but 盟 only wants to talk about 冥 and fixing the damn phone.
盟 has been trying to fix the phone from the moment it broke, but he’s just fucked it up more.

大: I fixed it. I’m going to call the poli-

盟: MEI-CHAN PICK UP THE DAMN PHONE.

冥 picks it up immediately and spends a minute being really defensive about how fast he picked it up.
大 tapping 盟’s shoulder. Please. We need to call the police.
- 盟 is pushing 大 away. Can’t he see he’s on the phone?
盟: I think Ariake-san is looking you.

冥: Who the fuck is Ariake-san.
盟 getting excited at that reaction and instantly playing up like he’s met someone.

冥: It’s a memorial service!

盟: I only did what Ann would have done.
有 hearing his name and coming in, upset to see the phone is fixed but catches 盟’s eye and telepathically signalling to him to have the longest phone call of his life.
- He doesn’t have to tell him twice.
- He’ll even ask about the cats. Whatever to keep 冥 on the phone.
盟: How are your roommates?

冥:

冥: Oosaki-san, a yokai has killed my brother and stolen his voice.
盟 trying to come up with a description of 有 that’ll make 冥 jealous but he can only think of 冥.

盟: He has red eyes, messy hair and doesn’t seem to spend much time outdoors.
- 大 horrified. Why would he say that about his beautiful 有.
- 有 appreciates 大 coming to his defense but he wants his attention Now.
  - He’ll grab the scorpion if he has to.
It takes 20 minutes for him to even mention the murders.

冥: I’m surprised. I’d have killed you first.

盟: I’m glad you think of me so much that I’m the first person you’d think of.

冥: There’s still time for them to kill you.
冥 was honestly scared out his mind but 盟 can’t know that. He’d never live it down.
- He can barely acknowledge it to himself.
- He’ll call 盟 and idiot over and over for going to a shady memorial service for someone who hated him.
冥 eventually asking when he’s getting home and 盟 just oh we have’t called the police yet.
- 冥 is calling him an idiot all over again.
冥: Put that (Oosaki) person back on the phone.

盟: I think he’s off on a date…

盟: Speaking of, when I get back, I hear there’s a really good burger place-

冥: I don’t want a burger I want yo- you to call the fucking police!
- Hangs up on him before he can accidentally say something stupid.
Screaming into his pillow.
- All this shit AND he’s expected to third-wheel 盟 and 有 on their date to some stupid burger place.
- Politely asking his roommates for cuddles.
盟 interrupting 大有 to tell 大 to call the police, he needs to get back to the mainland immediately!! He’s sure 冥 just said he wanted him!!
- 大有 have been discussing how they’ll live a nice life together on Ooejima… Do they have to call the police?

Getting home and clinging to 冥.

Eye Loss

冥 is threatening to neuter him.
盟 jokingly meowing and rubbing against him and 冥 just goes completely silent and bright red and ohhh.

盟: By the way, can we change Oosaki-san’s name?

冥 is back to being legitimately pissed at him.

盟 sits it out.
He does keep shouting at him to put it away! There’s only one cock he’s interested in seeing!
大 reporting back to 清 that 盟 seems like a playboy, but he’s seemingly fiercely loyal.
清 whines that this one’s boring but when 大 mentions 冥, 清 completely perks up like oh nevermind I think we’ll get along very well.
