冥 and 盟 reunite in high school.
盟 protects 冥 from bullies so everyone feels he’s Got Better.
- He’s still the same to 冥.
冥 seeing him beating up someone who tried to bully him and he just can’t accept 盟 would be doing this for his sake. Clearly he’s just beating up this guy for fun.
- 盟 is clearly doing this for his own benefit. There’s no way it’s for him. Especially when 盟 keeps grabbing 冥’s hair.
- 盟 realising 冥 is misunderstanding his motivations (though he is enjoying beating up this guy)
冥 tries to confront him about it and 盟 tries to force him to say thank you.
- He doesn’t even try to explain himself, he just tries to force 冥 to appreciate him.
- He’s holding his face and staring at his mouth.
- 冥 spits at him and it’s awakening something.
冥 can’t convince anyone 盟 is still a shitty person.
They go to an all-boys school, so 盟’s love interests for the drama club are all played by guys.
- If 盟 is convincingly into them, 冥 can’t help being jealous.
- If 盟 isn’t convincingly into them, 冥 takes it as a straight boy not being able to act in a way that would challenge his sexuality.
Schoolmates would get their lockers mixed up (not knowing which knaji is which) so they’d get confession letters intended for the other twin.
盟 sends back the most brutal rejections on 冥’s behalf, but they do sound exactly like something 冥 would say, so no one ever notices.
- Someone gets so offended they put trash in 盟’s locker, to 冥’s delight.
  - He doesn’t understand why 盟 seems slightly pleased.
冥 sits and critiques them with a red pen. He could write far better confession letters (not for 盟)
- He dumps a whole pile of them on 盟’s desk.

- 盟 piecing together all the rewrites to show the letter 冥 secretly wrote for him.
- 冥 keeps correcting facts about 盟 in the letters.
  - They don’t even get his eye colour right! Why do they always say black when he has such vibrant red eyes.
  - 盟 noticing all the edits and being delighted at how well 冥 knows him.
    - They’re literally twins.
- 冥 putting notes about how their date choices are a bad fit for 盟 and giving recommendations for better ones.
  - He knows because 盟 always drags him.
Someone tries to confess to 冥 in person but they just get cursed out and then mysteriously trip on the stairs.
Rumours spread that 冥 is cursed and you should avoid talking to him.
- 盟 is spreading rumours about girls that confessed to 冥 when they were kids and were never seen again.
- He’s told everyone that the first person who ever confessed to 冥 died tragically but was extremely possessive so he wouldn’t be surprised if it was their ghost trying to keep him for themself.
  - “They loved Mei-chan so much, he still feels responsible for their death”
  - “They’ll probably haunt him forever”
    - 冥 thinks this is especially stupid because there’s no way someone would love him that much.
    - If someone had loved him that much, he wouldn’t have been stuck with 盟 for so long.
- When 冥 finds out it’s him spreading them, he rips him apart for such crappy, inconsistent stories.
冥 is happy people are leaving him alone, but he resents 盟 isolating him.
- He can’t ever say anything about it because 盟 will jump at the opportunity to push himself as the cure to loneliness.
